JAPANESE COOK



Principal Accountabilities:



Prepares and cook individual Japanese dishes and foods.

Plans menus.

Ensures quality of food and determine size of food proportions.

Ensures that all food is creatively and attractively presented at all times.

Work with minimal supervision.

Inspects kitchens and food service areas.

Trains staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.

Orders supplies and equipment.

Supervises kitchen staff and helpers.

Maintains inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Organizes and manage buffets and banquets.

Manages kitchen operations.

Additional duties and responsibilities related to the job may be assigned as required.



Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



Graduate from a Technical Culinary School.

Able to supervise and direct work flow for kitchen staff.

Undergone basic food preparation and hygiene.

Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in Japanese food production.

Relevant experience in the GCC is a plus (preferably in Saudi Arabia).

Ability to communicate in English.
